Button Bobbies

There is a store a few miles away from my house call "Changing Thymes."
They are an antique store, but they rent out booths and people can sell anything from vintage to crafts to whatever they want to get rid of. It can be a very interesting experience, I'll tell you. It's a lot of fun to go hunting and see what type of stuff is there on any given day!
They have one booth, though, that has one of the most glorious things I have ever run across.
A big old tub of BUTTONS!
Are you as excited as I am?
I kid you not, this thing was a tub with legs.
It was marked "Buttons, 25 cents a piece or 5 for $1."
Ummm...yes please.
I spent a very happy 10 or 15 minutes frolicking in the button bin and came up with some very happy looking vintage buttons. Awesome.
I pretty much knew off the bat that these were destined to be bobby pins. A while back I finally got around to buying some more e-6000, and well, I'd have to say I'm very very very happy with the results. What is it about vintage buttons? They're just so fabulous!

I wish I had better photos to present, but sadly it's a bad combo of poor photography, a crap camera(which will hopefully be replaced soon!), and bloggers weird fuzzy picture thing.

Ah well, who cares when you have buttons?

Blogger refuses to let me add buttons add the moment, but I will be linking up at Flamingo Toes Think Pink Sundays, Vintage Wannabee's Talent Tuesdays, &  My Girlish Whims Your Whims Wednesdays.

  1. Oh I LOVE these! Buttons are my favorite. Did you have to attach the round silver pieces or were they part of the buttons? Thanks for visiting my blog! I wasn't able to find your email to reply.
