Pearl Necklace Re-do

I was going through my jewelry collection the other day when I ran across an old glass pearl choker that I wore in my sisters wedding. Alas, whilst the pearl choker was a good look for 12 year old me, it didn't look quite so stylin' on me anymore.
But you can't just let pearls go to waste, can you?
So I hauled out the jewelry supplies, grabbed a brass chain, and 2 minutes later I have a super functional, much more flattering piece that I foresee wearing rather a lot.
Bing, bang AND boom!

Bad look. Very bad look.
Supplies, in case you couldn't figure that out.
The finished product!
The finished product!
I was pretty happy.
Being the monkey I am, I couldn't get a decent after pic, but suffice it to say it looks much more flattering on me then it did.
It just makes me happy.
Just by using a few supplies on hand,I now have a new necklace.
Proof that you should go through your jewelry collections with a DIY eye!
Have you ever revamped some jewelry? Did it turn out like you hoped?

  1. Adorable! I love the new look. :] Also, I really should try revamping my jewelry so that I actually wear it sometime. Haha.

  2. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog - yours is super-cute! Love the jewelry re-do and the blog header!

Just in case you didn't know, you're a no-reply blogger so I couldn't email respond to your comment... you can find a tutorial to help you fix that here. You'll probably get lots more comments/messages back from bloggers if you do that too! : )
