My (Craft/Creative Books) Reading Pile...

I am super fortunate to live a mile away from my library, which admittedly is rather small and outdated, but one of my favorite things to do is still to walk up there and pick out a bunch of books.
As I lugged home an armful of books, it occured to me, hey, I like book recommendations. I should do a blog post about this.
So without further adieu, here are a few craft books I've been reading lately and what I think of them:

(from top)

I'll be honest, I would never wear or use half the ideas in this book, but the sheer creativity of the writers makes it totally worth a flip through. Plus the writing style is pretty fun, you can definitely tell it's a bunch of friends who wrote the book.
This book is not what we would call appropriate or family friendly. Some people find it really hard to get past that, but like the website the book is based on, it is still freaking hilarious. I think my favorite parts are her chapter intros...

This book felt like a little bit of a let down. It is beautiful to look through,  but the format is not intuitive. I can't say that I've learned anything super new or different from it, but hey, it is awfully beautiful.

I love this book. LOVE this book. Beautiful projects and beautiful format. I approve. That's really all I have to say.
I really love this book, too!  The projects it features can be very, erm, unique, but it's just full of gorgeous, gorgeous ideas and mind blowing creativity. It's got a nice photo gallery layout, too.

Well, that's it for my library books for now! What craft books are you reading right now?

  1. Thanks for the run down. I should check my local library for craft books. I love the read, or look, at them.
